The African continent is not insulated from the phenomena transformation as the ongoing changes exert a powerful force on the traditional approaches and ushered in disruptive innovation on the modes of governance. Therefore, there is a compelling need to boost technology innovation in Africa and pave the way for job creation, effective engagement in the highly fluid and volatile competitive global market, the complementarity of research, among others. It is hoped that embracing these new technologies and participating actively in the fourth industrial revolution holds a grand promise for effective governance capable of controlling corrupt practices, effective delivery of essential infrastructure and other public goods.
